:chin: lemme tink...

bad lieutenant port of call: new orleans-yeah...new orleans is the best part of this movie. i i was especially confused by one scene when the main character's leaving new orleans for mississippi. he appears to be on the crescent city connection yet he's going towards...the west bank...right...maybe he was on a different bridge. yeah some closure is nice.

hot fuzz- :D can't believe i put off seeing it. next: shaun of the dead

Valiant - An animated movie about messanger pidgeons in WW2. Kinda silly but watchable.

A guy thing - I thought this comedy might be slightly funny but to be honest it was just cheesy.:P

"Gretchen"!? I KNOW that movie!! :D I really liked it too!! ! Wow, and here I thought I was the only one who knew about that movie...It airs from time to time on IFC or Sundance or one of those movie channels that mainly shows indie flicks.

I saw Clash of the Titans a few days ago, I am a fan of Greek mythology so I was looking forward to it. It was a good action flick, it was good in certain parts in doing certain myths properly, compared to other media that gets it wrong, bad sides was that some were still wrong, for example, they made Hades as evil and the bad guy, again, everything always makes him a bad guy.

I also saw The Disapearance of Haruhi Suzumiya today on the internet. My verdict, awesome, I had waiting for this, and I had enjoyed the first season and the second season (minus the experiment they decided to pull) and I really enjoyed the movie, and my guess would be, so would other fans of the series. Most of my praise will probably land of deaf ears, and most I would say about it would be major spoilers to those who are fans. But it was good I am also excited about rewatching when there is a HD version, becaus what I could tell, the graphics were also very nice (the version I saw was taped via a video camera at the theater as it is curently only been in Japan).

I saw The Hurt Locker which is a great movie, very tense. I think it is the best war movie I´ve ever seen since Kubrick´s Born to Kill which is one of my favorites. I also am a kind of fan of Jeremy Renner the main actor since he made North Country with Charlize Theron which is movie I also like a lot. I saw also Cowboy Bebop: the Movie which counts as my first anime movie besides Akira. I don´t like unnecessary displays of violence in cartoons but I liked this movie. The story is interesting and catches your attention. Then I saw 2010 which is the sequel of to 2001. I liked this movie a lot despite not liking the original 2001 (which IMO is just a psychodelic movie). But in this movie the story is better and there is more adventure. They decide to turn on Hal-9000 aka the "psychopath computer" again and it is very interesting.

I just saw Kick-Ass too! Loved it!

Hit-Girl was so cute and Nicolas Cage
was great as Big Daddy, a Batman wannabe.

Yes, I would say Hit Girl stole the show.

Clash of the Titans - well played, had a lot of fun watching it, that said though I had a hard time sorting out any of the actors outside of the Perseus and Zeus roles - they all did well though.

I saw that a few days ago. It was definately entertaining although to be honest it was also quite predictable. I enjoyed it though. I saw it in 2D because there were some lousy reviews about the 3D version of it...Plus my mum hates 3D.

Same, our friend Joe saw it 3D and told us that it was out of phase/blurred.

Once in a while though, I don't mind a movie not having any wild twists or trick endings; tougher to do it when you're trying to follow stories that have been around for millennium and even more recent - sometimes good projection of emotion and good cinematics/script-writing really covers the angles better.

I saw Green Zone today and I hated it. :x The acting is horrible and the movie is so simplistic "good guy vs. bad guy" that it annoys you. Also the story is highly improbable. If you´re reading this do yourself a favour and don´t watch this movie.
