Flicking through the TV guide and noticed this:

DIY SOS: The Big Build - BBC1 - 8pm
Nick Knowles and the team enlist the help of the local community and guest designer Oliver Heath to transform a post-war prefab house in Dartford into a warm and safe home for the future. Single mum Louise had to stop work on her house when her son Thomas was diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Volunteers and the DIY SOS team spend nine gruelling days renovating Louise and Thomas's home.

If any of you are interested. :)

DIY:SOS is like the cheap British version of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. :P

Autism: better for marketing than Prader-Willi syndrome. Not as great at marketing as animal hoarding.l

I caught the second half of it by chance.

The house was really minging beforehand, but they transformed it. They were concerned that the changes might be too overwhelming for the boy, but he loved it. They had done so much that pretty much the post code was the only thing that hadn't changed.

They reconfigured the ground floor and gave him his own quiet/study room, with one wall papered in a large map of the town, a desk and drawers for his stuff.

He used to have a shed, which he loved in the garden, but it was broken down and rotting, so they made a new one with a round window, and working traffic lights!

I thought I'd do the community a favour by giving something back and uploading the episode here for a worldwide audience. Not in the greatest quality, but I'm sure you get the gist.

The programme will be in four parts. Here's part one:

I'll upload the other three parts later today. :)
