Fine internet advertising, I will watch the new star trek...

I've just been bombarded since yesterday with adverts for the new star trek series Picard, so yeah I will have to watchi it because I do want to see it. But goddamn advertising algorithms, because the ads just wont stop, like I am already set on watching the thing so they don't need to keep advertising it to me lol. But yeah I used to get a little freaked out seeing relevent ads to me while on the internet, cause its like 'wtf is someone watching me.'turns out they just have algorithms that work to see what you like and interests you have so it can be advertised to you so I know that is probably all it is.

But yes it is odd to get weirdly specific ads on the internet, like aside from maybe a couple posts here I made in already existing topics of star trek, I don't recall really talking about it that much on the internet so its just weird that their algorithm still somehow picks up that Its something I'd be interested in. But that aside it looks like something I want to watch so I am glad I saw ads for it so I know its available to watch...just weird how many of them I saw in such a short period.

Though that particular thing could be an accident.

Not quite what I was getting at. Lol more like advertisers use the algorithms I mentioned to predict what kinds of ads will appeal to you, not so much every move you make being watched by anyone.
