I was born at Teesside where the director Ridley Scott found inspiration for the opening scene of Bladerunner. Yup, I remember my childhood years of gazing from the beach and looking across the river to see the night sky lit up by blast furnaces and flames crowning the tall chimneys of the old ICI chemical complexes.

But those are now distant memories, as I moved to Southern England in my late teens.

I currently live in Exeter, one of the nicer cities in England.
