Strange new bug on WP - WP Homepage flashing up momentarily.

Sometimes when clicking on a forum on the main index page the WP home page flashes up onto screen first for a fraction of a second before opening the forum I've clicked on. I'm using Firefox.

firefox loads the content on a page before it loads the stylesheet so you're seeing everything in the new accordian menu display momentarily before firefox realizes its supposed to be collapsed.

I've just tried using WP with JavaScript disabled but it is worse than ever as the homepage remains above the page I want to look at and there is even more stuff to scroll down past. Sorry, but I find the new WP layout/functionality awful. If I leave JavaScript enabled the flicker of the screen above it is literally making me feel queasy while navigating the site.

I noticed this a few times, but it has now storpped. I am on IE, and I have Javascript enabled. :roll: :?:

So that is what that is ... I'm having the issue, too, but right now I'm getting it on the work computer, which uses IE. Or, at least, I hope it's the homepage - it flashes too fast for me to be sure what I'm seeing. Has some faces on it, though, I know that ... I would definitely prefer a program loading issue to discovering I've just allowed a new virus to download to work.

A ha! So I was wondering what that was! :wink:

It isn't the "home page" that seems to be flashing up, its the "Autism Talk" and "Running Man" drop downs on the top of the forum index page(s?), then?

Also I haven't been on in a while - the sites gone through a resign, eh? The Discussion/Articles/etc. tabs on top are a bit too big for my taste, but I suppose I can live with them.

yeah, it's the front page with the latest issue of what ever it is on the front page these days. I have Google Chrome and it didn't flash up for me until tonight.

It never seems to flash on me but it was the first I've seen that happening to me since yesterday due to something messed up with my connection.
