It's f*****g ridiculous how difficult it is to give myself a pfp. How can I make this my pfp without everything going wrong?

Go to Edit Avatar.

The picture can't be larger than 130x160.

What sort of trouble are you having?

I've tried everything from adjusting the picture to fit but it won't work. I just want to use a picture of a younger Boy George as a pfp.

I had a lot of difficulties too.
Try using this https://postimages.org/#google_vignette website to use an image. Resize image to 100x75 (avatar), choose the image, and then copy and paste the direct link provided by the page.
Good luck!

You can edit photo sizes in Microsoft Paint with the 'resize' function.
