High school, I think, is quite different today than it was when I went. The type of person I am is probably more accepted today than it was back then. There is certainly better support of the issues I had. Do I miss the high school of then... No. Do I miss the high school of now... Maybe.

I've been out of high school for a week, and although I miss some of my classmates, overall I don't miss high school at all. Every time I remind myself that I am finished with high school, I grow anxious and excited for the future. :)

Um I don't know how old you are though I can tell you here in Queensland things have little changed my mother works as a teachers aide and she strongly suspects a student in her class may have AS (his been expelled from 4-5 schools in his 1 st 7 years, surely they would realise something is not right :wall: . I told my mother PLEASE mention it to the school their response : he hasn't been diagnosed with the condition... :

Still getting expelled/suspension from school isn't such a bad punishment for an Aspie (better than getting the cane) often I'd get it up to 6 times a pop (3 on each hand) Yes it was perfectly acceptable to cane young children at Queensland schools circa 1980's -1990's having been their done that I can tell you corporal punishment does not work!

Yes. Very yes. I miss all my friends. I had a wonderful group of friends. I don't have any of them in college right now.

No. People basically ignored me and vice-versa. Sure, I was a really good pupil, but, by the time I reached high school, I became uninterested enough to be retained in 9th and 10th grades.
When I finally reached 11th grade, in a different school, there were actually 3 girls interested in me in the last few months. Unfortunately, my social anxiety was at its highest and I turned down one of them, never got past greeting the other and the third decided I was too shy for it to work. Meh.

Next year, I'll study at a technical school for accounting. I'm actually excited about it. Go figure.

Hell yes - life was great for me in high school and stress-free. :)

In my senior year, I was in every club I could ever want to be in, a soloist in band, kicking ass in all my classes, had all my best friends right around me, and I had a boyfriend.

Now I'm in college with none of the above. :(

Life was just so much simpler back then, yet so much more fulfilling. Enjoy it while you can, guys and girls.

God no. They ran that place like a prison. I hated it.

Even though my Senior year was great, I don't think I'd find anything worthwhile to go back for.
