People who have a parent that committed suicide are 50 percent more likely to commit suicide one day themselves. So, at the very least, stay alive for your kids' sake.

What is it specifically that is sucking in your life right now?

You actually had some bad happenings in your life, so its normal that you feel troubled right now. (I dont mean with normal, that you shall not bother yourself, but to accept the sad feelings about it, maybe share them with someone you know.) Give yourself some time to get back on again, try focusing on some good things, as example your sons wedding, your potential grandkids that might come from that. :)

If you feel after an certain amount of time (maybe about 4 weeks) still totally down, then try it with professional help. (Self-help groups in your area, internet forums, ...)

Sorry for your loss.

Remember in your post in The Haven, you recounted how you heard the daughter scream when she was told of her mother's death, and vowed never to put your kids through that. Please spare them. The pain is great now, but it will subside, although perhaps never disappear. If you die, your kids will bear that intense pain for the rest of their lives, even though you will be free of it.

Hang in there please :(
I can't pretend to know what you are going through but there is always a positive reason to keep going such as your kids and a nice walk in the sunshine...

Another thing, do you want your son to get another Chinese tattoo or your other children to get another tattoo that is much worse than bean curd? You've got to be around to knock some sense into them and still get laughs from bean curd.

Call the mental health county hot line. They probably have a suicide prevention number and most places have a crisis line. I believe either of them will listen to you.

When my BIL suicided (posted that in the Haven), I damn near lost it. I literally had no one to talk to. My ASD husband just shut down and I thought I was losing it too. I called the crisis line and cried into the phone. The person on the other end was wonderful. I called that line at eight times in 3 months. It was just enough to keep me sane. No one judged me which made it better.

Thinking about you today, and hope you get a little relief.

((♡hugs♡))

I am thinking of you, OliveOilMom, and I believe the world would miss you if you were not here.

I also agree with mikassyna, when you get to your darkest places, remember your children and think of the pain your loss would cause. Despite all of the differences between you and I and our approaches, I do believe you love your kids and they love you. They need you, too.

Be safe.
