I recently got Two Worlds, a game I can describe as a mesh of Diablo, Elder Scrolls: Morrowind and Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. I have not gotten too far, but from the guide I am reading, it looks pretty good. It's no Elder Scrolls, but I think, when it came out, it was trying to capitalize on the success of Oblivion. The graphics are Xbox generation, not 360. Still, I am going to give it a strong chance. I love the spells you can use, and some of the weaponry is cool. And the alchemy ingredients are quite varied. Anyone else play this game?

I haven't, but a couple of my friends have. They said it was okay, but not nearly as good as they hoped it would be.

Its a pretty good game once you get pass the lack of possibility for actual role playing.

Well, yes, that is a negative aspect to the game. But it does allow you to allocate points to certain areas so you can be a fighter, mage, or archer. You start out, however, as a specific character.

Despite the Xbox-style graphics and Xbox frame rate, Two Worlds has proven to be a great game for me. So it's not Obilivion or Diablo, but it has captured my attention for hours. I must say I will play this again and again and again.

If I actually owned the game I may play it simply to pass time, not for enjoyment. I could get pass the bad graphics and the character creation system that offered no diversity at all, but I just thought it played horribly. In comparison to various other role playing games at least...

people care about graphics far too much. Kinda getting sickening (not blaming you, just been all around the internet lately and most people (the vast majority of people actually) are like if it isnt really awesome 3D graphics and stuff it is a bad game. It seems the point of gaming has been lost to the newer generation of gamers (being raised on Atari/NES/SNES you tend to not care about graphics unless they start glitching like hell and stuff)

now other than that rant, ill say what i feel about Two Worlds. Awesome Soundtrack, average gameplay

gameplay would be better if they fleshed out the story a bit better and made for more Roleplay opportunities. Also the game tended to be glitchy quite a bit (I heard there might be a fan-patch in the works though for the PC version.)

I grew up playing Atari, Nintendo, and Super Nintendo, so I've seen the progression of quality in graphics. And old games, I don't mind playing again. Heck, if I still had Zelda and a Nintendo, I'd been playing that for HOURS! Graphics aren't THAT important to me. Sorry if I made it seem so.

I grew up with the megadrive, sonic the hedgehog, echo the dolphin, street fighter stuff like that. i agree alot of people do put too much empathis on graphics over gameplay, although having said that most serious rpg fans tend not to care that much about the graphics.

back to two worlds, if you think of it as a action game with rpg elements it is an awesome game :D

Exactly, people care way to much about graphics, I wouldn't care if all graphics looked like playstation 1 graphics. As long as they are good enough to display the story. Now, the story is chucked out so that the graphics can be better... stupid.

In regards to Two Worlds, I like it. The terrain varies quite a lot and it's not a bad game to play.

You wouldn't be, Two Worlds is one of those games that you need to play for an hour or two before it starts to get fun.
