I suppose there are a lot of people around me who do share this view, but I am much more moderate myself.

Don't hate the people, just the low down ways of the government.Mainly we are one of the biggest polluters and consumers, not really fond of strip malls and that sort of thing.Does Europe even have a strip mall?

The poll could have been expanded. I hate america's political invasionary model. Self appointed global watchdogs. In a pig's eye.

Not true. The american empire is privatised, not state owned. If you take into account America's cultural spread and the extent to which american companies have involvement in the economic affairs of other countries, the US is easilly the most imperialistic.

Involvement in the economies of other countries is what causes these countries to grow. The only true imperialists since WWII are the commies.

this is a falsehood. These American companies have a vested interest in keeping down the economies of third world nations so that they have a pool of cheap, ununionised labour from which to take advantage of. Indeed, thats what they've been successful in doing and why you are seeing a insane disparity between richest and poorest in countries like India or Thailand etc.

Theres a fantastic book called 'confessions of an economic hitman' written by an ex US government employee and whistleblower that exposes these dirty dealings.

I voted 'no' even if I don't agree that the USA accepts 'all walks of life' or deserves its status as a superpower, though you could say the same for any nation that has tried building an empire.

America is like the dumb sibling who makes you look stupid by association, but as derided internationally as the USA is, I wouldn't want to see it destroyed or even injured. I understand that actual people live there.

No, I'm American so I want to kill myself and millions of other people.

I'd rather live here than the middle east. However, I have considered what it would be like to move to Canada.

I'd like to see the idea of nationalism disappear in the future but I think we are hundreds of years away from that at best.

Its all the fault of soccer. Once you start following soccer matches you become a disloyal, and an America hater (according to Ann Coulter). The touch of a soccer ball is seductive black magic apparently.

American chocolate too, if that hasn't provoked the wrath of Zeus then I guess nothing will.

One thing I never understood either - even though the USA can produce some frighteningly elegant and technically excellent warplanes and boats, they never did get the hang of making cars that don't make civilised people vomit on sight.
(apart from the Ford GT, which must have been stolen from another country)

Savages!

One Christmas when I was a child a friend gave me a small chocolate from Switzerland, the Matterhorn was on the label. To this day I remember the taste of that chocolate.
I think the muscle cars from the sixties look pretty good.Don't think they handle as good.If I was filthy rich I have to admit I'd buy a Porsche.
The only plane I could ever ride in and feel safe would be a C-130,but I think the engines are made by Rolls. :D

I could not agree more, what is that stuff made of anyway, surely its not dairy dairy? looks more like something you should be buying from a hardware store not a food store.

It's made up of a combination of bubble gum, melted plastic, and "yellow". Not yellow colouring. Not something that looks yellow. It's just made of "yellow". That's how unreal it is.

The yellow is probably residual radioactivity from the nuclear reactors where they're created.

Left over yellow crayons from kindergarten gives it that vibrant color.
