Wait..... In your title, you used the words "progressives" and "left"----HILLARY is on that side----so then, "the other side" would be the Republicans, and they're not the ones being aggressive.

Many people are agressive! I honestly feel it isnt one side more than the other.

Many democrats are peacefully protesting! Some are rioting. Some are being paid to riot and protest. That doesn't mean all democrats are evil! Many republicans are racist and sexist- it doesn't mean all are.

I feel people need to stop lumping every group into one category, its insulting and very wrong. I think people need to knock off the assumptions, it doesn't help matters at all.

Because they believe that Trump would be a guaranteed doomsday for the US if he gets in? A lot of people's stomachs are twisting at the prospect of a Trump victory.

How do you know trump supporters wouldn't be rioting if he lost? It didn't happen so there is no way to prove one way or the other making it kind of irrelevant. Also Trump supporters are not over-all 'better' people than those who don't support him....that's b.s. I certainly wouldn't say his white supremacist supporters are contributers to society, anymore than people rioting over the election result for instance.

Apparently some trump supporters have been acting inappropriately as well, enough to where Trump told supporters on live t.v or whatever to stop harassing minorities.

Also about these paid agitators who's paying them, and what evidence for this exists? Basically is there actual proof these aren't just people being angry and allowing their anger to make them behave stupidly? That seems a little more likely its not like its impossible to see social unrest in this country....no one needs to 'hire' agitators to create chaos, there is enough social unrest in this country all you have to do is create division and people will do the rest.

I think Americans have gotten more aggressive as a result of the nasty presidential campaign, which was hardly presidential.

Seriously, are you saying they are just engaging in random acts of vandalism? With no purpose other than to cause property damage? And disrupt other people's lives?

I mean, if there's some purpose behind the protests, then I can understand it. Not necessarily agree with it, but at least understand it. If there isn't, then it's just gang activity and the police should arrest them, since it's not even a form of (political) speech; just malicious mischief.

They are protesting Trump's messages of hatred. They are sending a message that if Trump is going to continue to consort with bigots and share their views he's going to get more than strongly-worded letters. They are also sending a message to the victims of this hatred; "we stand with you."

I don't understand what side you're on. One second you make a little sense then you do a 180. And I don't care what Obama does, I would never think it would be OK to damage property like these protesters are doing. They all need to be arrested and put in jail to cool off for awhile.
