Oh yeah, I understand that but how are protests going to change bad cops minds? I mean if a cop is willing to commit murder, and take a human life, they are probably the type to not care about what protestors think, if they do not care about taking lives. Therefore they will not listen to protesters. Unless I am wrong?

There is one possible idea I have that might help though. When police officers step out of line, the unions always defend them. What if they took away the union, and made police work a non-union job? That way they will not be near as protected from discipline. Would that help?

They can fire the racist cops and have cops take a special test to weed out racists upon hiring.

But aren't they already firing racist cops though? For example, the cops that killed George Floyd were fired, and even indicted. There was also another cop fired for using lethal force against a man in Atlanta if I remember correct not to long ago.

How would they weed out the racist ones though, until the person commits a racist act? Or how would they know who is racist and who is not if the person hasn't committed an act yet?

Racists always say racist things and say even more racist stuff when they defend themselves explaining how they are not racist. So if you talk to them about black issues and other minorities, they will show their racism.

But you are right, racists can hide their racism if they know what is "perceived" as racist and learn to veil it. So that means they can pass the test with flying colors if they know what is racist to the outside world and they learn to say "leftist" things.

Racism can only be dealt with through constructive dialogue, cross-cultural projects of collaboration and gaining more enlightened insight into personal, racial and ethnic struggles. When I meet a racist I don't know the root of his prejudice. Perhaps his sister was raped by a black person, or someone in the family generations ago that perpetuated this belief. Someone antisemitic person may have never actually interacted with a jewish person and has been fed antisemitic propaganda and superstition since birth. Projects must be initiated to counteract and dissolve prejudice where collaboration and becoming familiar with each other will go beyond race and prejudice through shared work and gaining the insight that we are, after all, just people All religions, races, ethnicities, societies, political affiliations have their bad apples, deviants, and sociopaths but we musn't allow them to make us hate. There must be dialogue and constructive connection above all differences. The familiar is less threatening.

The antedote to hate, extinguishing hate, must always be love and tolerance not, never retaliatory hate.

Well I thought that when police officers train to become officers, they take polygraph tests before passing the academy. Or at least when I took a tour of the academy once, their was a polygraph, there so I assume that's what it's for? If they do take polygraph tests, can they determine who is racist, and now is not, with that, more accurately?

I doubt its that deep. More likely mom and dad taught their kids.

It's interesting that anti-semitism is even common in non-European countries. I did some contract work in the University of Malaya back in the early 1990s and the then muslim vice-chancellor of that university commonly made anti-Israeli comments as he supported a Palestinian state, but to my ears his comments sounded anti-Semitic (e.g. the jews did this...).

Ironically the founder of the University Malaya is one Professor Oppenheimer...a Jew...who's name is emblazoned over the main chancellory hall where students stand to receive their graduation scrolls.

So getting back to your earlier point many people don't know who Jews are. I am fairly sure many an anti-semite man has spent hours watching movies with jewish actors.

Few people realize that Phoebe from Friends is Jewish, Ross and Monica are Jewish,Bob Dylan, David Beckham's grandfather, Scarlet Johansen? Slash, Kurt Douglas, Gwineth Paltrow, Nathalie Portman. It doesn't really matter, the solution is loving above all these racial, religious and political differences.

That’s not how it works. The poly only shows a probability of someone being truthful. If a racist is unaware that he is racist or believes that his racism is justified, the test won’t magically reveal that he is. Basically, the test only reveals that you BELIEVE something to be true, not that something actually IS true. If you believe without a doubt you are not racist, even if you really are, you would pass the test.

The president said “it is what it is” regarding COVID deaths and just looks dumb in this video. This is the guy half the country wants to vote for.

Yes, the average person is that dumb.

Yeah I see what you mean, but what good does having a polygraph at the police academy do, if officers believe in what they are saying then, if it's not true?

Yeah I see what you mean, but what good does having a polygraph at the police academy do, if officers believe in what they are saying then, if it's not true?

Well, nobody is just gonna come out and ask if you’re a racist. A required poly might be useful for other things. Plus it might be good for training purposes.

Biden tweeted yesterday that there needs to be a nationwide mask mandate and all I see in the responses are people who are blatantly ignorant to what that’ll do to help with COVID. No wonder there were 800+ cases in Iowa the other day.

Try living in Georgia. Our governor Brian Kemp seems determined to kill us all. :|
