why do people bash islam but love christianity??
Arran whilst you are probably right most people's first introduction of the Islamic faith come from media sources, this is not the end of it, and in fact, depending on the media source it is not necessarily unfavorable. People aren't all stupid, they can think for themselves.
What the Islamic world desperately needs to do is get it head out of arse, and stop living as victims. Herein lies the crux of their "suffering", and the suffering can be real, but in living as victims they are prolonging it, and creating the conditions for it to continue. You cannot free yourself if you don't want to be, that is at least half the journey.
You mention Zionism, however this is not the biggest issue in Islam, the biggest issue in Islam is itself. The number of Palestinians that are displaced now, whist not at all good, it pales in comparison the the numbers displaced and killed by internal conflict within Islam over the past 13 centuries.
The main reason for the violence in the middle east, is the sectarianism within Islam, you can talk of cultures, tribal, etc. But fundamentally it come down to the fact that Islam has been at war with itself since the 7th century and is still at it. It isn't really in the position to lecture anyone on peace and compassion.
"Zionist" is a convenient catch all, to blame all the issue in the middle east on, this goes hand in hand with victim mentality. Despite the fact that the number of true idealistic Zionist are fairly small in number, and it has little to do with overall sectarianism within the middle east, that fuels such belligerence.
But nevertheless it doesn't stop people blaming (including well know Imams) the internal conflict within Islam that has been going on for 13 centuries on a "Zionist" conspiracy, a concept that as only really existed since the early twentieth century.
Also the Muslim world needs to get over the fact the Israel is established and isn't going anywhere. Personally I don't believe in a historical basis for a nation is a good reason, which means, that the Palestinians historical basis is no more valid.
Israel right to exist in my view is based on thriving consistently in modern times. It may have not been the best beginning, but turning back the clock now isn't a good thing,
If we start talking of divine right, and or the fact that in ancient time their was a civilization at some point well frankly this is no basis in the modern world from determining nations. I could claim to descend from some ancient civilization that preceded it. It doesn't mean anything.
All the wailing and the "poor me", is a classic presentation of a victim complex. Classic neurosis that you see in all walks of life, except in this case it is a mass neurosis. Admittedly you see this on both side of this conflict, but we need to treat as it is rather than pandering to in, which reinforces the behavior.
I would always stipulate that individual are not necessarily bad, even if mislead.
However it is the extremist that are in fact the most honest. Moderates do a hell of a lot of appeasing, and making excuses for illiberal and immoral doctrine, having their cake and eating it. Most are not rejectionist, or reformist, because the would mean splitting from mainstream Islam. There are some and I applaud them, but they are still small in number.
There also a lot of rhetoric around "western" imperialism, like the west has had a monopoly on imperialism through history. The Maghreb were not better then the Crusades. Everything should be seen in it historical context. They were equally as bad.
If you look where the remnants of indentured labour, slavery, lack of basic rights, land grabs, it is certainly not all western.
Nominalists faith (Bahai) failed in accomplishing this on Gods behalf. Bringing a clear evidence. They brought an evidence but not clear enough.
Quran/The clear evidence
[98.1] Those who disbelieved from among the followers of the Book (monotheists) and the polytheists could not have separated (from the faithful) until there had come to them the clear evidence:
[98.2] An apostle from Allah, reciting pure pages
The Bahá'í are an improvement on Islam, like Druze, Ahmadiyya, and pretty much anything, Admittedly they are eclectic, but it is in the same tradition of rehashing religions, that Islam itself is a apart of.

A war? Where? Even if you are being metaphorical, I don't see how the war analogy can be applied to monotheists and polytheists (anywhere).
I would call that naivety if you don't know where the war is happening or why. As for the other syllables and terms I don't associate with them through the cultural masses at all.
Heal Islam and you heal the world.

The omission of surah numbers and which translation is used makes such quotes unverifiable, and therefore, could be considered as meaningless. You can pull off all sorts of snippets and quotes from the Qu'ran (and other texts) from the internet but unless you verify them against a genuine copy then you can't make any claims that they are valid.
Fake Qu'rans with amended or added surahs have existed for centuries and there are plenty of them circulating on the internet.

The Baháʾí Faith is not exactly eclectic or syncretistic. The historical roots of the Baháʾí Faith are clearly in Islām. In fact, an understanding of Islām is vital for grasping the Baháʾí Sacred Texts (just as a basic grasp of Hellenistic Judaism is important for a Christian).

[47.20] And those who believe say: Why has not a chapter been revealed? But when a decisive chapter is revealed, and fighting is mentioned therein you see those in whose hearts is a disease look to you with the look of one fainting because of death. Woe to them then!
I am too weak to kill you right now. If I were stronger I would've done. Dont mix up the wicked stories from the bible with the quran. Give me one verse where you do not accept. Will your modern law yield for us? Why? How? We have a perfecet law. As said heal Islam and you heal the world.
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
[36.1] Ya Seen.
[36.2] I swear by the Quran full of wisdom
[36.3] Most surely you are one of the apostles
[36.4] On a right way.
[36.5] A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful.
[36.6] That you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, so they are heedless.
[36.7] Certainly the word has proved true of most of them, so they do not believe.
[36.8] Surely We have placed chains on their necks, and these reach up to their chins, so they have their heads raised aloft.
[36.9] And We have made before them a barrier and a barrier behind them, then We have covered them over so that they do not see.
[36.10] And it is alike to them whether you warn them or warn them not: they do not believe.
[36.11] You can only warn him who follows the reminder and fears the Beneficent God in secret; so announce to him forgiveness and an honorable reward.
[36.12] Surely We give life to the dead, and We write down what they have sent before and their footprints, and We have recorded everything in a clear writing.
[36.13] And set out to them an example of the people of the town, when the messengers came to it.
[36.14] When We sent to them two, they rejected both of them, then We strengthened (them) with a third, so they said: Surely we are messengers to you.
[36.15] They said: You are naught but mortals like ourselves, nor has the Beneficent God revealed anything; you only lie.
[36.16] They said: Our Lord knows that we are most surely messengers to you.
[36.17] And nothing devolves on us but a clear deliverance (of the message).
[36.18] They said: Surely we augur evil from you; if you do not desist, we will certainly stone you, and there shall certainly afflict vou a painful chastisement from us.
[36.19] They said: Your evil fortune is with you; what! if you are reminded! Nay, you are an extravagant people.
I happen to call myself apostle and ... Jesus. But noone belives. That I have Aspergers makes it worse. But what do I care if the world falls under? I care for my religion.

I'm not exactly sure what your point is, but it is essential for understanding in Babism and the context form whence it was created, and political movement. Of course it was created in a Shia Islamic environment.
I said it was an improvement on Islam, like Duze. It is far from a perfect improvement, and should be open to criticism.
We will have to agree to disagree that it is eclectic, perhaps we have different definitions or thresholds.

You claim to be a rasūl Allāh (apostle or messenger of God)? Jesus?
