The majority of Americans do not want Trump. He lost the popular vote for the second time in a row in the past election, and even failed to win the electoral college that time around. If the majority of voters want Trump, they have a funny way of showing it.

Yes and if you include the people who can't or won't vote, he's not really that popular at all. I doubt whether any politician ever got as much as half the population genuinely wanting to put them into power. A lot of people only vote to keep somebody else out.

The electoral system turns on a small swing, and once they get into office they change the law in a way that's disproportionate to people's true wishes. It seems to me largely a matter of luck how disenfranchised a given group get, though a lot of groups have always been under-represented.

Biden may have his flaws, but Trump has even more. So why is Biden in more trouble than Trump?


I really feel that people are being hypocritical against Trump inciting a coup by telling people to go to congress and fight, because the democratic government told people to fight the government if George Floyd was acquitted and told people to threaten the government and court if he was. So it's the same thing in a way, yet people are okay if the democratic government does it, but not Trump.

I swear if Trump decided to have joined the democratic party, then people would have loved him just because he was of that party.

Why are you, a Canadian , so passionate about another country's head of state? You dont see me, nor any other American on this site shooting our mouths off about how fair/unfair you Canadians treat Trudeau. In fact I never even see YOU talk about Trudeau, nor about Canadian politics. How did you, a Canadian, get to be so passionate about "making [the United States of] America Great Again?

And would like to have him for yourselves? Trump? To make Canada great...again?

Oh well it's just that Canadians have a tendency to copy America's politics a lot, so whichever political party is in charge in America does greatly effect Canada therefore. I fear that a lot of the unrest going on in America will be copied by Canadians therefore, and therefore needs to change in the US, in order for it not to spread to Canada. I don't think Trump should be President, but not Biden either, but someone different entirely.

Interesting point; a lot of conservatives were very skeptical of Trump because he was a liberal most of his life, and were concerned that he might turn that way again once in office if he thought he could get more applause that way, but the unceasing hostility of the liberal media pretty much closed off that possibility. I still don't think the man is a conservative, but at this point he hates liberals so much that he might as well be.

Well, if he is the only Canadian on WP yet keeps talking about Canada, this would be rather self-centered wouldn't it.

To answer your point: the world is obsessed with USA and not Canada because USA and not Canada tries to run the world. So ask a better question: WHY does USA -- and not Canada -- get into Iraq, Iran, Ukraine, etc. Thats a good question indeed.
