Is Trump really the mastermind that people say he is?

He's often credited as being this criminal mastermind who escaped all these espionage crimes involving Russia, and the Ukraine, and is perfect at knowing how to get away with all these things without being caught in international government investigations.

Only a James Bond type villain could get away with such things, which could exist in real life, if the person was really smart, and all Bond villains are even caught. However, whenever I see the way he conducts himself in interviews and the media, he comes off as kind of an idiot to me really. Not really the smartest and sophistocated person really.

So either he is innocent of those crimes he was investigating for, and the investigators were just grasping at straws, or the idiot persona is just facad and he is actually a genius/mastermind?

What "espionage crimes" was Trump accused of?

He was accused of corruption involving Russia, and the Ukraine, but not of "espionage".

Trump is guilty of trying to screw with our Constitution.

I am more inclined to say he is innocent because if he were guilty, those crimes would be difficult to hide.

If he is a genius to the level you say he might be (I am not saying he is stupid. He does have a good mind), then do you really think he would put himself in the firing line of being a president? Those evil genius' are not going to do that. They will be in hiding somewhere planning ways to change things to their advantage. Example would be that if they thought that Donald was threatening their fortunes or power, they would find ways to get him out by helping yet another innocent person into power instead. You see the real evil geniuses will control the media so they can easily sway an entire nation by altering public oppinion which will alter votes and alter governments decisions to their favour.

I always doubted the truth of the collusion accusations. Putin is too smart to collude with this moron. Former KGB agent, ruthless Realpolitik practitioner Putin knows better than to think this orange buffoon or anyone on his team could be subtle or keep their mouth shut.

And even if he did collude, his acquittal was owed more to the partisan composition of congress, not because he has any remarkable amount of cunning or intelligence.

Sorry espionage was the wrong word. I meant colluding with other governments. However, I don't think he was freed because of partisan happenings, because if he was guilty the FBi and investigators still would have revealed the collusions to the world, before the partisans got him off the hook for it, and there was no revealing of colussions beforehand.

He's likely not the mastermind you think is tequired to pull this off.
He was however the president of the single most powerful country in the world. You don't risk a cancellation of a trade agreement because of a little corruption, or human rights violation, or genocide.
If we did that, Russia and China and every Middle Eastern country was off the table, and the globalized petro-industrial society would come to a screeching halt.
So the only thing that could bring him down would be domestic investigation, not international.
But here, too: a little corruption is no reason to make a fuss. Imagine, if even the president were to face consequences - how could any politician ever feel safe again?

I see him as a mastermind.

Trump has stood up to the W.H.O. early on. He knew about the plandemic and how Big Pharma are trying to control the population with inflated C O V I D death rates etc. Trump also tried to make the USA independent from the rest of the world, especially criticizing China and trying to block Huawei's 5G. Trump is pro America. He believes about keeping it's resources and only dealing with other countries when necessary. Unfortunately, the population listens to the mainstream media and is being scared or censored, so there are not many ways out. Trump is too dangerous, with his loud mouth and openness to speak up about the world leaders. He is seeing the game being played by the elite, to control the world's population. People are judged if they do not do as they are told by that neo communism regimen.
He tried his best to free the population, by telling them to open their eyes and seeing if the virus was really that dangerous or just a shock doctrine to scare people off. Now that most of the influencial people, regarding freedom, are being silenced, there isn't much we can do.

Was Mr. Magoo a mastermind because he consistently avoided the consequences of his mistakes and failures?

But the thing is, if there are consequences, you cannot avoid them, unless you are a genius. So if Trump is not facing consequences, then there isn't any for what he done, unless he is a genius who has found a way. But only geniuses can avoid consequence. If Trump is an idiot, which he seems to be, then he would not be smart enough to know how to avoid them.

Mr. Magoo in real life, would not be smart enough to know how to avoid the consequences.

Only by comparison to his fans and followers can Trump be considered a "Mastermind" at anything.
