does this annoy you as much as it does me?
People seem to think because they think they're right-I should believe them 'and I am automatically wrong

it gets really annoying
I have counted 16 different attempts by people-here and elsewhere

Yep, very annoying!

I tend to remember that even if I think I'm right, on a lot of issues there's a chance I could be wrong. For example, I don't really believe in God, but I see it as a possibility even if I don't buy into it myself.

Unfortunately, a lot of people don't think like this.

Christians are the only ones who do that
I have never had a hindu or a Muslim try and convert me lol

It doens't annoy me... I just think it's a waste of their time.

I don't get why they try to convert people, why do they care wether people will go to hell anyway?
The less population is there in heaven the more space and pleasant would be.

Some Christians believe that you will go hell if you don't believe so I can understand there point of view for wanting to covert you.

When people try to convert you just laugh and patronize them.

^Especially when they try to convert you to any given secular worldview, such as the belief that the Freemasons secretly rule the world and are responsible for 9/11.

I used to really hate it when people try to convert/scare me into their beliefs, but luckily it hasn't happened to me in years.

I find myself generally annoyed by it too...

I suppose the head games could be funny if you thought about them in a different light... like, I don't believe in any kind of "Satan" archetypes... I prefer personally to believe in animistic theism, but not in the whole "vengeful god" model. And I admit that animistic theism is a preference, not a fact. But... getting back to the head game... when I tell people I don't believe in Satan, I always kind of expect this head game they play where they say "Satan's greatest achievement was to convince the world he doesn't exist". Grrr... but I suppose if you think about it, that comment can be humorous too.

Annoying? Hell no, it's funny. Especially as it's a failed attempt from the beginning, being the Atheist all the rational arguments are on my side so really I have no problem with people who think they can convince me to join their cults.

I like it when people preach to me. I am interested in what people believe, why they believe it and, most importantly, why I should believe it too.

Problem comes in when:
A: People fail to tell me why they believe it in the first place.
B: People fail to meet any rational standards of evidence for their claims.

Since it's quite evident that neither religion nor a lack of religion makes people behave any better than they would anyways under the influence of very personal motivations the whole effort is basically a sometimes amusing waste of time and frequently an adventure into aggressive silliness.
