We're just lulling them into a false sense of security.

You will be predicting the collapse of the US for the next 30 years—while the US stops itself from collapsing despite multiple crises....

It's either gonna collapse or become a dictatorship.

I dunno.. these things have evolved rather rapidly in other countries in recent times, mostly due to immense wealth inequality - which the USA has and this situation exposes quite transparently.

s**t could really hit the fan in the USA in a matter of mere months, never mind 30 years. It doesn’t take that long for people to run out of food/money/essentials etc when most people live suuuuuper paycheque to paycheque and cannot come up with $400 in an emergency.

A one time $1200 stimulus cheque while $16,800 per citizen goes to corporate welfare isn’t enough to fend off people uprising for very long at all.

People have been living paycheck to paycheck for years.

If there ever was a time for a “collapse,” it was the 1930s. The Great Depression.

We might get 20% unemployment.....but this is only temporary. People on unemployment are getting $600 a week, in addition to their normal unemployment check.

Nobody got anything during the Great Depression. No unemployment. No stimulus payment.

Fair. Maybe they’ll be able to ride it out just fine. Some government economists have likely crunched the numbers and figured out how much they’ll have to give people to avoid a revolution.

Same as Canada: Whatever it takes to keep the masses calm enough to manufacture arms for Saudi Arabia! Our “leaders,” just inked another $14B deal. :(
