Just want to echo what so many other people have said. I only had passing interaction with Ass-P, but he had a backstory which could only invoke huge amounts of sympathy. He had a really tough time of it and I know lots of people let him into their hearts as much as they could. Sorry to hear of his passing. It’s a shame things never worked out for him.

It was nice for him to be unbanned to allow us to talk about him without breaking the rule.

a part of me can see him looking down from the bright world above, with the hint of an approving smile on his heavenly countenance.

This really makes you think about his life, I always felt bad for him & wanted him to get a better life. I keep thinking about him today. I sooo wish someone could help him, get a roof over his head, groceries, a computer, someone to teach him stuff, clothes, medicines, a wheelchair to get around & comic books. No one should die alone, unfortunately, people do. I like reading his post on WP, I had a little trouble understanding what he wrote, he PM me here. At least he with his parents now. RIP

Even though I didn't see him on the forums anymore, I've been thinking of him on a few occasions this year. He was a unique person, in all aspects.

Rest in peace, ASS-P.

he had been mugged and attacked worse than that, and he told me he had nobody to console him afterwards. that is the lot of the bulk of the homeless, nobody will defend them, the cops don't care. social workers are brutally overloaded.

Wow, Rest in Peace. He certainly had heavy burdens to deal with, as everyone else has said. Still, he was able to manage some interesting conversation and humor on here from time to time, in spite of it all. I wish things had gone better for him.

He had a brother that passed away a few years ago that he'd wanted to see; hopefully he/they've achieved that on the other side. Fly free, my friend!

How can people be so cruel to mugged & attacked a disabled person? I wish I could hug him.

You are in heaven my friend, you will be
Miss down here on earth. Heaven is lucky
To have you. You are with the angels now,
Go fly my friend above the big blue sky,
Where angels are beautiful & kind.
I will miss you, my friend of mine.

He and I clashed on the forums a bit, but then he became a lot more civil publicly when our political beliefs aligned - a mutual dislike for the orange guy.

He pm’d a lot more than he posted, with some frustration early on, but the last couple years he would message every once in a while with a simple update and we’d exchange a few polite messages.

Rough life, many difficulties, and tbh with his laundry list of ailments combined with his refusal to cooperate with medical advice, I’m a bit impressed he made it as long as he did. Hopefully in his version of the after life he’s forever attending college classes. 8)

He is forever attending college classes....and getting good grades.

And he can invite his buddies over to his apartment to talk about comics.
