I couldn't help wondering what would happen if four of those san people were to show up at the vatican, or the wailing wall or maybe a mormon temple and demand access to all parts of the place, even the places that were considered most sacred. Then they went around making holes anyplace they felt like.

Al this so they could impress their friends back in the kalahari with how much they'd learned about those primitive religions.

it seems the older the ritual the more resonant it is with the modernity of science. the snake eating its own tail is the shape of a torus (a ring) which funny enough is the shape of the event horizon of black holes.
