Even after attempting to fire and replace the union workers Kellogg's has been forced to make a tentative deal with those same workers.

Sounds like a reasonable deal. Finally.

And my friend will be able to buy her rice krispies treats again.

They reached a reasonable settlement, had Kellogg's not considered the settlement reasonable they wouldn't have agreed.

It seems to me that the union wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable at all. As it is, the raises will only meet inflation, and the healthcare stays pretty much the same instead of being cut, if I have it right. I’m disappointed that you assume it was the union being unreasonable. Have you even looked at the terms?
