H-1B Visa Season Is Here

I happen to know from a close family member who is a temp that some companies hire people from temp agencies for a day or two just to document and falsely justify their claim that they need to hire H-1B visa workers.

We need to garrison the borders and completely cut off illegal immigration and then drastically reduce legal immigration and assylum. ![]()

I don't know that there is a particular season for them. I think they are pretty much year round. Unless you are referring to hunting season or something like that. Remember that its important not to direct hatred toward the H-1B's themselves, but rather toward the politicians that sit by and endorse the H-1B problem in the first place.
In addition to stealing American jobs, H-1B's are used as a tool by corporate America to prevent older software people from getting work. If you are over 35, that's like a billion in computer years, and you're considered to be an old timer. Nearly all of the H-1Bs coming into this country from abroad are under 30. They are not "The best and the brightest" either. Those software guys mostly live in the US and are over 35.
There is a simple rule that I always follow. If and when ever I have to hire someone to do something from an ad or the phone book I always make sure that their address is also listed. There is a reason why I so this. The reason is that I like to know where I can find this person or company if I get screwed. What does this have to do with the subject at hand? If I were running a software company or any company and or was even considering patronizing such a company the thought that would be foremost in my mind would be to make sure, or as sure as I could, that I could FIND that employee if ever I was screwed by him or her. The last thing in my mind would be how old he was as long as I could get my hands on him. Placing a call to India or wherever is not my definition of satisfaction. I have been screwed enough times and I don’t like how it feels. But that’s just me, what do I know.
