So, many of us here today are having some really stinky piss-poor days... my mood sucks, and I'm sure there are others having a rough go of it.

What I might do today to feel better:

1. Take the bus out to somewhere far away and walk home (it's sunny, about 50F, not great walking but ok)
2. Finally tell my upstairs neighbor if he insists on playing his guitar loudly he will get the full force of my home stereo equipment with the loudest Dubstep I can find like Bassnectar.
3. Totally trash SOMETHING, that isn't valuable but breaks into a lot of pieces that won't hurt me (can't be glass or metal)
4. Play battlegrounds on World of Warcraft with my one-shot anyone Hunter macro of death (won't work if Horde is sucking in Vengeance battle-group today)
5. Thoroughly clean my entire apartment (this usually doesn't make me feel better, just starts a hundred home-improvement/deep-cleaning projects, damn ADHD)
6. Post here until my eyes are sore from reading text online?

Anyone else? :) :) :) and yes, you can put "punch kittens" or "kill people"; it's the haven, just getting stuff of our collective chests!

When I am having an especially bad day I like to watch musicals. Often Disney, if I'm just feeling bleh and depressed. But if I'm having a really rotten day I'll put Chicago in. The music and violent dancing and such have not yet failed to bring me out of a funk. I can't watch that movie and not feel like hurling myself around for a little while.

- Music = mood boosting
- Read = distracting
- Visit one of my day dream universes = distracting
- Go online, including here at WP  = distracting, and sometimes mood boosting
- Watch DVDs and videos = distracting (unfortunately, the TV is dead. :( I don't have cable or satelite, and the mountains block all broadcast signals, so I was only able to watch the DVDs and videos. However, besides those I own, I sometimes took some out of the local libraries.--On the plus side, I do eventually plan on getting a new TV, DSL, WiFi, and a Roku, so I will be able to watch free I-net TV without having to pay also for cable TV.)

-listen to metal, rock and whatever other music I like
-indulge in drug & alcohol use
-attempt to play my bass guitar
-possibly sing to music if there is no chance anyone can hear me(I don't know for some reason its hard for me to do that in front of people because I am afraid of sounding horrible or something)
-play with/pet cats, dogs or other animals
-Talk to friends or trusted family members

These are some of the things I do when I'm really depressed:
-watch television
-watch a movie
-play a computer game, usually The Sims 2 so I can escape from reality for awhile
-surf the Internet
-reading
-play certain types of music
-call a friend
-have a nap
-I might sit outside in the sun if it's a nice day
-if I'm really really bad, I'll make an appointment to see my psychiatrist

I try to be productive, if I'm really in the dumps recreational activities aren't going to help. But something I can do and get results from fairly quickly works pretty good, usually.

Also at least then I know I'm not wasting my time. Do crappy things in crappy time, then you don't have to waste as much good time on crappy things.

Spend time outdoors, cook something I like, exercise, clean/do housework (for some reason the last one often helps me clear my head)
