Ugh I had so much typed that was hit and miss good.... having an off day, my apologies.

Maybe a person can try to not stew in their negative emotions as much and especially judge themselves hard. It might feel like other humans look at you as a failure but that doesn't mean you should to.
However, that does not mean a 180 degree change in attitude and suddenly happen and you'll then find yourself followed by success. I'm not one to tell someone to be Optimistic. I believe in being Realistic.
So yeah if I'm out of work living in my parents' house at over 30 years old I shouldn't be upset about it, because the economy is a disaster. So I'm just going to try to do what I can with what I've got.
Besides if you stick around you may enjoy a kind of passive revenge as you see time catch up to people you dislike. Others who think they're the pinnacle of success looking down on you may get laid off and be chased by their own debts.

Adapting to my conditions is what more or less caused some of the mess I have now. I mean adapting to being an outcast does not exactly do much for one. All that taught me was to push myself too hard because I could never be good enough...but should strive to be anyways. Or that I should expect people to bully me and just take it, because if I can't do it back tough luck.

I kinda do feel like I am being realistic, and there is no garantee anyone who's caused me pain is ever going to suffer anything like that, and if it did it would not necessarily make me happy or anything.

You don't have to change your thinking, if you change or not is completely up to you. The question becomes, do you really want to continue like this? Sometimes, when things get bad enough we just have to make a decision. Do we fear the change? Or do we fear what is going to happen if we don't change?
Honestly, most people I admire and respect have had to go through the whole process, which means that in order for them to achieve and get to where they want to be, they have to hit rock bottom first. I can't think of anyone I admire who hasn't gone through that process.
Maybe if you're hitting rock bottom, or perhaps after you do, things will turn around for you.
I know I had to hit rock bottom, and it sure as hell wasn't pretty. I wouldn't want anyone to go through it but sometimes that's exactly what we need to do.
Adapting and more importantly accepting it and yourself doesn't have to be a road of pain. I've accepted and adapted to my various conditions recently, and there's a lot more freedom that has come with it. I enjoy it a lot more, there are definitely some major upsides to this. I get to be by myself without feeling guilty because of what I "should" be doing. I interact with others when and how I choose to. And best of all I have a brilliant excuse for pursuing my passion outside of work hours without anyone to tell me off for it anymore.
This kind of thing doesn't just "happen", it's a road. I used to think the same way you do. It's just that now I what is there in comparison, I wouldn't want to go back there because it's simply not worth it. I view the road you're on now as "too difficult" much like you view the road I'm on now as "too difficult". You fear to do it, I fear what happens if I DON'T do it.

There is no other way to continue that I can find...if people did not want me to become bitter about things, maybe they should have thought of that when they where constantly making me feel bad about myself no matter what I did to try and stop it. I mean I even heard teachers talking about me behind my back sometimes...and always trying to insist there was something wrong with me and I needed medication(of course from their veiw the kids bullying me did not have issues), it was always my fault because i didn't fit in......and mind you I was not disruptive they simply did not like that I did not act normal, sometimes my mind would wander and It would look like I was spacing out and not paying attention but I was doing fine in the classes and they wanted to put me on meds.
I mean me continuing like this seems to bother others more than it bothers me, I feel the way I do for a reason and I am not going to put on an act just to make everyone else happy.

I am headed straight for rock bottom.....but I already feel like I am as low as I can get so I've started feeling kind of indifferent about that and I don't expect things would improve much from there either. I might at least have some more things figured out about my life by then but that's about it.

Does not sound like a bad idea, its just hard not to be effected by all the stuff I have internalized. But yeah I more or less am trying to accept myself as the person I am and not be so concerned with that sort of thing.

Yeah I know....but I don't really feel like anything in general is worth it either, but I am in a pretty severe depression mood today so that could be clouding some of my perceptions.

Maybe this is the difference? My diagnosis gave me the excuse I needed to throw out all the crap that I had internalized. All the things that didn't serve me and only made me feel worse, trapped, depressed and pointless were thrown out (interestingly were all from things other people said /thought) because I finally understood there was nothing wrong with me.

I don't have an official diagnoses to prove myself with.....and even if I did I still feel like people would still expect me to just get over it and function normally with no difficulties. I just can't live up to that, and the getting PTSD while I was in the process of trying to more or less try and get over the depression by going to therapy thinking that would help certainly did not help matters as that just made all the depression and anxiety symptoms worse. But I tried to ignore it and go to college anyways and well I can't even handle two classes a semester and had to drop out recently.

You sound very depressed. You need to be honest with the doc/therapist and tell him/her how depressed and crappy you are feeling. There are meds that can help. I feel that most of the time people should avoid mind meds, but in a severe case of depression, as you seem to have, it is sometimes necessary to take meds to treat the condition.
You don't really seem to be trying to get the help you need, though. Rather, you seem to be wallowing in your depression pit by choice. That's not healthy, and is a turn-off to the people around you.
You also need to do stuff on your own to help distract yourself from your problems, and keep yourself occupied.
- Listen to and/or play music
- Exercise
- Read funny stories
- Hobbies
- Volunteer with charities. There are people out there who are worse off than you, who could really use your help.
- Join a club
- Take courses, either in person or online. Some of the online courses are free.
- Watch funny TV shows or DVDs
- Surf the I-net
- Get a job. Try the employment agencies. If you don't have a particular type of work in mind tell them you want to temp for a while, so you can try different types of work.
Now stop the pity party, get some help from your doc/therapist, and get off your duff and do stuff!

I don't think OP is after a diagnosis, she already said she suffers from depression and her therapists aren't helping.... Thanks for trying to help tho.
edit: sorry of course I'm speaking out of line for someone else, but I just thought this took the thread in a wrong turn, I don't think anyone was being overly negative, we're supporting each other.

I don't really feel like it is my choice I feel like its just the way it is and most people already have disliked me since childhood, so I might as well just get used to it.

I don't have a doctor or therapist nor can I afford one, that is why I am thinking I should get on disability, but at the same time I am really distrustful towards the system so that's really stressfull for me but is probably something i should do. and did you even read the thread, I thought I went into not being able to effectively distract myself or at least that went along with the not being able to delude myself into thinking things are great or will turn out well.

That is ok I cannot expect everyone to understand all of this you were right about the not being helped by therapy though....getting a diagnoses and disability might, and if I can manage I would not mind maybe finding some seasonal work or part time work or whatever. But i don't like the wording as it once again implies 'you're just not trying hard enough, and other people have it worse so what are you complaining about.' maybe that was not this posters intention but it was kinda how it made me feel.

Would it help you to get an official diagnosis? Would it give you any peace of mind or help with how you feel about it? If it won't change anything, then don't bother. But if it helps you in some way then it may be worth considering. Also, a DX might mean you qualify for some accommodations if you choose at a later point to try college again.
A psychologist is only going to be able to help you if they experience in this particular field and if you are honest with them, if you don't have both of those things then therapy isn't going to help you.
Nobody expects you to function with no difficulties, not at all. I don't think any one of us on here think that you're not going to have difficulties. It's going to happen, that's why dealing with it in the right way is essential. I would be lying if I said I don't face issues with this, it's just that I've figured out what I need to keep myself balanced to stop them from turning into a big thing when it doesn't need to be or from spiralling out of control. If I let a spiral start, it's always more difficult to stop.
Honestly, I think those of us have more mental strength than those that don't have to live with it, on average. I'm sure you could put that to good use somewhere, even if it's a hobby or passion of yours. What were you studying at college? How serious were you about pursuing it?

It would maybe get me disability and medicaid which I have to be on disability to qualify for which might allow me to try and get some help if I can get over my total distrust of anything related to the government system enough to at least deal with that. Though I don't know if I should focus on the AS, Depression, Anxiety or PTSD or all of them at once. Also I don't know if there will be a next time for college but I am not sure I just know I dropped out due to being in a school environment making me anxious and causing anxiety attacks because the incident in highschool that caused the ptsd. So that kind of made it hard to focus, not to mention since the first thing I remember about the whole thing was reading a book up until I realized what was going on reading can trigger stuff I do not want to think about, I mean I was having to have a drink before a lot of reading I had to do for college just so I could read without being distracted by all those thoughts and memories and such.

I wonder how many psychiatrists have experience in people with all four of those, I mean yeah I would be honest but not all psychiatrists are even familiar with AS. That is what I ran into last time I applied for disability.

I don't really feel passionate at all about any hobbies....and last I was in college psychology and sociology, but I doubt I can do anything with that as I did not get a degree or anything. The ptsd really makes it hard to give a damn about anything including myself, because of how pointless it makes everything feel along with the depression of course.
