I'm sorry to hear that. You need to contact them and try to prove to them that you're able to care for your child. Couldn't one of your family members take your child, like your parents? Children's Aid Society is supposed to work with the child's best interests but sometimes they're jerks. I can't believe they just did that, did they give you reason why other than you have Asperger's Syndrome? What about the father, is he in the picture?

That's strange. I have AS and have four kids. The first was born in the hospital and the other three were born at home with a midwife. Nobody ever gave me any trouble about raising my kids, even though I have AS. Granted, at the time I didn't know I had it, just thought I was odd and eccentric, and even since I've known it I only disclose it on a need to know basis. I haven't read all the posts, but I did see some posts asking where the baby's mother is, so I'm assuming now that you are male. At first I assumed you were female. Sometimes they may remove the baby based on the mothers state of mind, or if she's done drugs or drank heavily while pregnant. I'm going to finish reading the posts though.

If you are in the USA, then they will have appointed a guardian ad litum for the baby and they will go to court. You need to find a lawyer to represent your interests in this. If you still live with your parents you need to find out if they would be willing to have the baby there and help[ raise him/her. The lawyer would probably be the best one to advise you on this. A court appointed lawyer usually is crap, so I'd suggest finding a good one to hire yourself.

Good luck.
