It's awesome that you have our own business! What field of business if you don't mind my asking?

I don't know why people on that website link you posted seem so easily offended: to a greater extent than is the case here. I would have thought that people on a high IQ forum would be more tolerant! But the Internet can be a strange place sometimes.

I never make racist jokes or ones which mock any vulnerable group of people. But I do nonetheless have a well developed sense of humour.

You're right: certain things considered traditional are like sacred cows which can't be "milked". But there are many people who get away with taking the mickey out of government affairs and other straitlaced things.

Take care; hope to see more of you here on WP.

Thanks.

I think I want to be nicer to more people. I think my own hatred leads to bad karma. I will try. See how things go.

I checked out that forum and I almost joined, but I was too intimidated. I don't think my IQ is 150. I do find it interesting being around really smart people - to a point. I almost ran to get under the covers and hide when I saw the math threads. I thought about joining a conversation though that was started by a doctor. It looked interesting. Hmm. Grumpy Cat may just have to venture back at some point.....

When you explain yourself, what you say is seen as an opinion. The problem comes in with the jokes you use because they are offensive to certain people - like that post that was just deleted. In America it is a free country still, so you have a right to have those views, but it's not tolerated on forums and that's why you were banned (or almost banned) - it was against forum rules. You might just want to leave the jokes at the door because they are falling flat. No offense.

In America you can run an offensive forum or web site and the government can't shut you down. But, as the owner of the forum it is your right to ban people from posting things that you don't like.

Isn't that what I said?

Chimpout got shut down.

No I have never been a member there but I have seen it and got bored with it within five minutes because of the racism and that is how much it bores me. Not the kind of drama I enjoy reading.

If you're going to hate someone, you might as well do it for something they can't understand. If not, they might decide to change whatever you're hating them for and deprive you of your reason to hate them, thus forcing you to spend valuable time looking for another.

Hei thanks.

By the way, here is another issue. I am disgusted with things people honor. Religion, government, for example, are things people consider sacred.

The word sacred it self instill stomach churns. Oh this irrational guy wants to run my life and can't give me good math model so he resorts to nonsense. Usually I run away, get into trouble, and people blame me again. I feel even more disgusted.

it is always going to be a challenge to be an iconoclast.

Wisdom, compassion and insight are far superior human qualities to any IQ number (the latter also shows a lot of variance on repeat testing). I could join Mensa and like outfits if I wished; it ain't never going to happen folks!

I am guessing that you find insufficient of compassion in the Mensa crowd.

I'm sure there must be some members who have the quality of compassion, though outfits like Mensa seem very last century to me. The eugenics movement and so on were dark spots then, and the idea of IQ as a measure of human worth is pretty repugnant to me. Not all members there will believe it is, I hope, though my guess is that a substantial number probably do. I don't get on very well with people of that kind of opinion...

i'm of the opinion that the gifted need to be generous with their gifts.
