Thanks. :) It's my brother's Captain Hook hat, but a bit too small for me!

I'm still trying to find my point so I can stab myself with it.

Could be. I feel life is pointless on an individual basis for the simple reason evolution and technological process (or any kind of progress) will continue with or without me.

But pointless in the macrocosm does not make the microcosm pointless. I happen to be
enjoying my cup green tea right now :)

I disagree with you there. At 8 years old, I didn't think there was much point in school. School is complusory = no point in life.

At 16, I still agree.

But.....something changed which didn't actually make any difference.

I won't go any deeper because this isn't the P, P & R forum.

Not necessarily. Suppose for example that your life is utterly pointless right now. However, suppose your son is destined to change the world for the better.

You need to be here, to sort the son out to be born.

Destined? Nothing is destined.

I don't believe there is no god; I lack belief in a god.

But if there is no certainty, then that means you have to dictate your own life. We aren't told who we are or what to be, we need to figure it out and our place in this world. We don't have much time.
