Indeed! And fortunately many of them are.

The gifted almost never go into politics, by the way. The real leaders should be the artists, musicians, scientists and others who have something useful to contribute besides hot air!

If you're going to hate someone, you might as well do it for something they can't understand. If not, they might decide to change whatever you're hating them for and deprive you of your reason to hate them, thus forcing you to spend valuable time looking for another.

Is this supposed to be sarcasm?

Not really. When you hate someone or something, you first and foremost decide to hate them. Then, if you feel the need to justify your hate in the eyes of someone else, you’ll bother to make up some crude explanation, caring more about social effectiveness than logical soundness, which, most of the time, doesn’t matter at all.

I beg to disagree. Surely you need a reason to hate someone, such as a habit or action of theirs? Otherwise such hatred could be deemed "irrational".

most often, irrational types mistakenly comprehend themselves to be eminently rational and everybody else as irrational. i've been there. so the reason for hating is quite idiosyncratic, and relevant in a personal way only to the hater, and arcane at best to anybody else, if perceived at all to have any meaning. to the hated, of course it matters not WHY the hater is hating, only that they are hating. if somebody is beating me about the head and shoulders, i care not why they are doing it, only that they ARE doing it and that i want them to stop immediately.

I sense this is correct.

We hate people mainly for something unjustifiable. Things like this guy is a better competitor. This guy is difference. I am stronger and I can screw this guy.

Then we come up with some justification to persuade OTHERS to hate that same guy.

Why feminist hate porn? Because porn favor the pretty. Feminists are often ugly. So feminist hate porn because porn is a better competitor than their marriage offer. Because beautiful porn stars are different than feminists. And because feminists are stronger than a political porn star.

It's the same reason why nazi hated the jews.

Then they give justifications.

Oh porn demean women. It can be something totally doesn't make sense.

May be I should just learn to understand people.

Well, ignorance is not a good strategy if things we're ignoring are indeed influential.

Are you autistic?

Yea often it make sense to observe just the result of one's action rather than the why. The why is always confusing. It's not the real why.

Because you think like I used to think. I once gave up understanding why and try to develop judging people based on result ignoring the why. It has plus and minus.
