I had the utmost unexpectancies about new years eve. I had to search up medical attention due to my rosacea severly impacting on my eyesight, and I don't drive anymore. I shocked my mother by ending up shaved and actually looking good instead of my usual casual wear (soft feeling wears even) and even my brother surprised me being in a talkative way and not peskering about me being 11y younger than him. Being a server admin 24/7 doesn't always help in having time to shave. It's bringing it on and a lot of coffee.

It actualy went to be a real nice new years eve! I expected disaster!

There's a darn lot more behind yesterday that I write here, but the main thing is that my daughter had a darn nice time and so did her cousin, and I got SMS spammed from my ex with a lot of laughters. (nice ones. I needed those since I was a bit blue due to chronical eye infection that makes me inappropriate to drive a car).

Was up 6am this morning and had a cup of tea and a couple of toasts. Felt good.

Went and hung out with a few friends for the night, chilled out and drank many fine drinks. Watched the ball drop and now at 3:32am in CNY time I am finishing up here and going to bed, no work tomorrow.

Thats my night...

my new years eve went surprisingly well. i spent it with my family, didnt party. fireworks went without injuries, although one was close. a battery was a bit to powerfull, and the first shot whacked it off its foot and into a quadruple backflip. second shot was way to close for comfort, as it was directed towards me. then it exploded, cuase it landed upside down. after the fireworks and dinner at my father, i went to my mother at 1:00. then we sat, drinking, talking and listening to old rock n roll music till 5.30.

I stayed in my room from 9:00 to 10:00 while my parents and their friends had a party. Finally, I decided to leave to have some food. I got tired of everyone so I went out at 11:00 for a one-hour walk through the middle of nowhere. admiring the sights and the skies in the dark. 12:00 passed while I was on an empty street - I could only hear faint cheers in the distance.

I spent my New Years Eve at home doing nothing. I slept until just before midnight when I was woken up to bring the new year in. I'd been feeling fairly grotty all night all told.

I went to a nearby Pub to ring in the New Year with a couple of friends. It was a very pleasant evening. There was karaoke, free finger food and free champagne, at midnight. There were also noise makers and party favours. I've sang seven songs. Two Christmas ones, four rock n roll ones and 'Maybe It's Because I'm a Londoner'. (I don't think I'll tell my patriotic family, about that one.) There was also a lot of hugging, which I love. I've gone back to my flat, and colour coded my schedule, for the entire year of 2008. I think that I'll spend the night at my parents house with my dog, though their Christmas is over, knowing that my tree will still be up, when I get home, tomorrow.

I stayed at a hotel downtown and watched fireworks. It was fun, but extremely frigid out. That's not a good thing to do when you have a cold, I feel like s**t now :P . Oh yeah, there were a lot of drunk young people in the hotel I was staying at and they set off a fire alarm at 3:00 am.
