Why do people add numbers at the end of their names?
Yes, that's why I chose 77... a lot of people who use numbers use the last 2 digits of the year they were born, so I decided on the 'birth-year' of the original Star Wars instead. That's why I have my age visible, so people can don't mistakenly think I'm 18 years older than I really am.

I always wondered this too. If the user name I wanted was taken, I would find another one rather than put a whole lot of numbers after it.
This begs the question, why do people put "_" in their names, and not capitalize the first letter. But then again I'd prefer my name with a " . " at the end. It seems like it ends before it should.
