Wool's kind of itchy but I'm interested in this "smart" part. Have you embedded a microcontroller to monitor moisture levels to warn me to reduce exercise rate.

I cannot worship at the alter of Smartwool socks. Smartwool does make my feet itch so I say they aren't very smart!

Alpaca socks are even better.
Get the Alpaca Xtreme socks - they are super warm and not itchy.
