Someone who I always imagined was about my age or even a bit older has turned out to be almost 20 years younger than me

It all makes sense now

Is that someone an online contact?

Yeah mate

It's nothing to do with their age
I was struggling with the attitude towards things that's all and I couldn't understand it

Then I realised the age and it just made sense to me

It's not actually a problem now I understand it

Bugler's Dream was first used for the Olympics in 1964, not 1968.

The only thing that a crocodile is scared of is a hippopotamus

I don't like hippos either

Today I learned that the same molecule that makes chicken taste like chicken can also be found in ground up oyster shells, is a false fact.

I have just learned from a Reddit post that Oxtail soup is impossible to find in Cyprus.

Some people have mistaken flags from European countries as lgbt pride flags. Such as Italy.

I'm learning more about the Matrix client called "Fluffychat". I have one long-lost acquaintance in there, who I'm chatting with.

BTW: there are 21 users there (on matrix.org) who have "autism" in their usernames. But is there an Autism chat room (either a "public room", or "public space")? Apparently not.

Today is not only Canada Day, but also the day that Americans raided a British Settlement in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.

As someone who lives in Nova Scotia, that hits, quite literally, close to home.

Fan death is a misconception that people have died as a result of running an electric fan in a closed room with no open windows. While the supposed mechanics of fan death are impossible given how electric fans operate, belief in fan death persisted to the mid-2000s in South Korea, and also to a lesser extent in Japan.

If fan death was a real thing, I'd have died every single night since I was a teenager.

So we're all agreed then, fans are unlikely to kill people?
