Actually, if things get so bad that I *do* have to eat dog food just to survive, I might as well keep some cyanide along with it. :pale:

I think I'd rather Citadel spread or BP-5. Same basic idea though.

The reason why blackcurrants and blackcurrant products such as blackcurrant jam are hard to find in the USA is because they were banned for years until they developed a strain that was resistant to an incurable fungus that kills pine trees.

IMHO blackcurrants are delicious, and as a Briton I was shocked and dismayed when I couldn't find them in the USA.

In which a very common Bisaya saying of "Sige na 'day!". Translation: "Come on, girl!"

... Can be misheard by different English accent and dialect as "She's gonna die!"

"'Day" is actually a shorten word for "Inday". Which is usually translated as "Sister".

That's not the new bit I learned.

The new bit I learned is how it can be mistaken for the English word "die". :skull:

There was a Zelda animated series. My Firestick just suggested it to me. I watched about five minutes of it. It was awful. They gave Link this annoying whiny voice and character and he spent most of the five minutes I saw letching over Zelda.

The morbidly funny part is that there are plenty of Filipino Nurses and caregivers working in elderly homes.

Also I learned that this particular misinterpretion had been the reason why there are policies where one should not speak in non-English conversations, even in private within said workplaces to not cause unintentional distress.

I've learned that when you're happy you literally don't care two hoops about what people think of you

I've learned that it's not all "on me"

Like I think I've taken on the burden of responsibility for things that have gone wrong in my relationships throughout my life but somewhere down the line that's got to be in part "on them", the other party or parties

I mean I do have pretty broad shoulders and I can sort of take it and I do find it easy to just walk out of people's lives and that is "on me" (because I'd rather walk away because I don't see the point of bothering after a while)

But the reason why things get to that point isn't

I'm calling it a 50/50 joint effort from now on

And that's what I've learned today
Well it's been in the pipeline for a while if I'm honest

Female lobsters urinate in males' faces when they want to have sex with them

Now I'm picturing a world where humans do this

I suppose it's possible to take up too much of the slack without complaining, when other people don't pull their weight. Not surprising you eventually walk out if it's like that.

Still, it's good to give them a chance, like threaten to leave if they don't start washing the dishes. It probably makes no difference in most cases though. It's just a conscience thing, like the army reading the riot act before they shoot everybody.

There's been 7 different people who've played Peter Beale in EastEnders

That's like one Peter Beale every 4 years and 2 months or something
