cats are wonderful. i prefer having one around to most people. and i cant pass a cat without going for some "social" contact. people always are astounded that almost all cats find to like me instantly.
at my ex-girlfriends family, they had two male and a female cat (fiery red, what a cutie). the female didnt like any strangers and wasnt too cuddly with most of the family. first thing i know when i sit at the table is the cat around my feet and jumping onto my lap, rolling into a furry ball and purring. :) that set some mouths agape. :D

I always speak to cats if I meet one in the street (if there's no-one around :)) Anyone else do that?
You know, "good morning, Tabby" that kind of thing. I'll know I'm completely bonkers when they start replying

i do this even if there are people around. sometimes i'll even talk to the squirrels if they are close enough - "hey there, what'cha up to?" or i'll make clicking noises at them to get their attention.

I have two cats. Seems to me theyre the only ones that can truly calm me after an exhausting social day.
I believe cats are made for aspies and vice-versa! And i find it fascinating that so many aspies like cats.
Tony Attwood even mentions it in his book. (The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome)

Um............I don't like cats. I like dogs. This is probably just because I am very allergic to cats, though. They actually remind me of myself a bit, solitary, serious, independant. So if I wasn't allergic, I would probably love them. Oh, I wish there was a cure for allergies that doesn't involve shots, now that I really think about it and realize how much me and cats have in common!

I credit my cat, Samantha, for saving my life. She became my best friend when I really needed one. She was also responsible for my love of Siamese cats, especially Lynx points, and for helping me make friends with people on a Siamese cat site.

I've had 7 cats and a dog, I hated the dog.

I plan to raise cats when I start living on my own. @_@

Cats are wonderful. Dogs too, but I only have cats currently. Four of them: Henry, Callie, Charlie and Lily (the last two were strays that I took in about a month ago)

Our roommate however doesn't like cats.. I can never understand people who don't like animals. I love them; so much easier to be around than other people.

Am and Biscuit are very much alike,am also think she has classical autism as well [also think it'll become official in cats just as ocd and depression have] am grew up with no interest/awareness of humans but felt extreme relatedness to cats, they don't require verbal communication from a human and don't discriminate on differences either, give them head rubs, under the chin rubs, behind the ears rubs....and a bowl of food and they will be best friend.
Biscuit is very nice to stroke as well, both get benefit from it,she has very long hair and acts like a floor buffer when she's in the upstairs room at home [wooden floor].

To be honest, I used to like cats a lot more until I joined here. With everyone obsessing over them (and those dreaded lolcats), I have since lost interest in them. I've also had at least three every single day of my life, so I don't want to own any when I move out on my own either. I can only take so much of them.

Am will take them in,could do with throwing a few people out of here, and replacing them with the cats.

I like the big cats. Otherwise, I'm more of a dog person myself. 8)
