I would like to see The Princess and the Frog when it comes out on video; Alice in Wonderland, Toy Story 3, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, all of which are coming to theaters within the next few months. :)

I would like to read Charles Darwin's On the Origin of Species, The God Delusion, Kathy Griffin's Official Book Club Selection, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and The Satanic Bible.

I, in turn, tend to get seriously pissed off at those who even can't rationally substantiate what's wrong with bumping old threads if those can still be used but everything they are able to do is whine. You're making a fool of yourself by your "intelligent" comment. Let me ask you then, kid: why should anyone start a new thread on the same issue if there still exists a thread about the same which can be made use of?

There are a bundle of movies I would like to watch, but haven't. The Graduate, The Sixth Sense and Chinatown. The list is extremely long but, I can only name just three on the top of my head.

Hmm, the list is quite long, but let's see...a few...
A historical fiction book, from Juana La Loca's pov
Court of the Red Czar
Biographies of interesting people
The Politics of Harry Potter
to name just a very few. I could type all day, and not get anywhere close to how many books I want to read

Movies...that's much shorter
Do tv series count? If so, then Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, Full Hose, 7th Heaven, Monk

My brother says Shutter Island is a really good movie. He thought the movie was going to be below par however, the expectation blew him away. According to him, Shutter Island is thus far the best flim he has seen this year. I dont think you should miss it.

I plan to see it as well being that I heard it was superior than that horrible vile movie, Wolfman. If anyone wants to see it I suggest you dont. It is terrible for so many reasons. I will just drop three huge hints: the characters are boring, the story is very thin and it is extremely predictable. I left the theaters sleepy with a headace

I'd love to see Sunshine and 2001: A Space Odyssey. I'd like to read Metro 2034 and Solaris.

I'd skip Sunshine, it's dreadful. Pity, because there were some good ideas. But 2001 is a must see, and the original Solaris is a magnificent film. I love me some Tarkovsky. You might like Stalker too, if cult soviet sci-fi with cinematography to die for is your bag.

The original Solaris was the best, I keep falling asleep when I watch the George Clooney version

Regarding Solaris, I want to read the actual book, then watch the Tarkovsky version of the movie. I'm watching 2001, and I'm not going to skip Sunshine. What I've seen(I've seen bits and pieces) of it is amazing. Capa's death is probably my favorite death scene ever in any movie. I shed a tear, not because I was sad but because the scene was so beautiful. It's my understanding that Pinbacker's appearance kind of ruined the movie. I didn't mind.

The video game adaptations of Metro 2033 and 2034 are made by a bunch of developers that worked on the videogame S.T.A.L.K.E.R. : Shadow of Chernobyl, which is a videogame based off of Roadside Picnic, the book that inspired the movie Stalker. The video game references Roadside Picnic, as do the books. I completely forgot about the existence of the Stalker movie. I need to watch that too.
