Why is that I can have a great relationship with animals and not humans? Animals are easy to read and are accepting. Don't ask questions and are of comfort when I have a meltdown and don't become upset. I would be happy living on a planet of cats and dogs.

While I agree with you, I wouldn't want to ever be separated from humans. There's something too wonderful about having closeness with them. Not to mention, if you got horny on your planet, your only options would be your hand, a cat, or a dog! :o

That would be awkward at best

Sadly, that's not too far from reality for me right now. :P

If people were animals, I'd be a cheetah, running as fast as I can, as I have a lot of nervous energy.

I'd run wild and free.

We are animals.

And a planet with nothing but cats and dogs wouldn't be habitable to said cats and dogs for more than a few minutes. Lack of oxigen-producing trees, algae, etc.

Also, the attributes you give to "animals" is entirely subjective and often erronous. A possible reason you have a better understanding with non-humans is that you are in a symbiotic relationship. Both sides using the other for services they need and when neither side needs anything they leave eachother alone.

It's a combination of providing desired services for the other party and allowing for sepperation when no services are required.

It's a lot more honest and straight-forward than most human relationships, I agree. But as much as many of us would claim otherwise, we're still social animals and need human contact from time to time. We can go longer without any human contact, but we'd go insane after an extended period of time.

My 2 cents.

I agree with you. Dogs are better than people. Dogs don't cheat or lie or make fun of you like people do. :P

The trick is to look at people the same way you look at other animals. Start watching videos of monkeys and apes, and people interacting with apes, and you'll start seeing what I mean. I think people have trouble distancing themselves from their own species, and that's when you start getting people talking about how humans are stupid and they hate being one. But all species are like that. We're all kind of quirky and dysfunctional, but we also have so much potential and we're so cool and fun to watch when you pretend you're watching a nature show.

Indeed, it's much better to have your personal property defecated on, chewed to bits or discarded in a pile of dirt.
Lieing is also much worse than the complete honesty of being bitten and confined to a small portion of your home out of fear of your darling, loving, canine companion.

I'd probably be much happier being an animal then a human, my life is hard enough as a human and basically I feel like I have more freedom compared to if I was human... It just depends on the animal... yet i'd be better of as a dog. :D

There's an awful lot of oxygen in the atmosphere - everything that breathes it in (more or less) is confined to within a couple of metres off the ground, but the air is breathable up to several thousand metres, so (as air moves between heights as it heats and cools) it'd probably take quite a while before the proportion of oxygen dropped low enough to cause problems. I'd guess on the order of weeks?

But yeah, probably not too long. :)

Nor do they pick you apart, or try to start an argument with you.
