Today I was walking home from work and some guy in his car stopped and shouted "Hey fa***t!" at me. I gave him the finger and said "F*** you!" He said "You f***ing queer!" then he drove away and said "You take it in the ass!" as he drove away.

be careful, there are many such folks who are not averse to escalating to the death. one never knows who is packing heat of some kind. evil people are best avoided, or if one is caught by surprise by an evil person, it is best to just run in the opposite direction.

I would just ignore those people. It's best to ignore them because you never know if they will come out and beat you if you escalate the drama.

Best to ignore/avoid them, just as you'd ignore/avoid a vicious dog barking at you through a fence.

Ignore the weirdos. They think they're cool for hurling insults at random pedestrians as they pass.

Shouted out the window of a passing car at me, my brother and a friend of ours as we were out walking at two in the morning, once: "Pino's is closed, fuck-heads!"

We just shrugged it off, laughed, and went on our way.

This reminds me of the other night when I was out with some friends.

Yes. In the town where I used to live, there is a guy who would scream things from the sidewalk at me personally every time he saw me driving by ... and one time I just took a careful look and ran a red light to get away from him so all the other people sitting there would not be inflicted by his tirade.

Their words are offensive, yes, but just pay no attention to those kinds of people.

Sounds like this guy is a total idiot for starting for no reason... The best thing to do is ignore.

How manly of him, calling someone a fa***t from the safety of his car. I once had someone chuck a cup of pop at me while I was on a bike. I was near the guardrail of a bridge at the time so I could've easily crashed into the guardrail or off the sidewalk into the road. I wanted to knock him out and stomp him in the kidneys.

Some people suggest ignoring trolls like that, but I think that when those drunken morons shout obscenities a more preferable way to deal with them would be to call in an airstrike.
