I'm going on a field trip tomorrow; I'll be going downtown and watching Romeo and Juliet with all of the other Gifted English students in my grade (ninth.) I'm kind of excited, considering the fact that we'll be gone all day; however, I usually feel unusual amounts of fatigue during field trips... probably due to the standing/walking that must be done during most of them. Plus, I kind of feel weird when I'm out in public, driving by many places I've been, yet I have little-to-no control over where we're going. I can drive by my favorite restaurant, for instance, and I can't beg my mother to stop by it. Meh.

What did/do you think of field trips?

i don't remember many atm.. went to battle, in hastings, but was teased a lot that day :( can be good, can be bad.
hopefully seeing a play will focus the trip on that, rather than make it a glorified stroll. :)

That sounds fun. :D 'Tis a great play. Hope you have enjoy it! Personally, I love going on trips in vehicles, and looking at the window at everything.

I loved field trips, especially to the Pacific Science Center in elementary, the salmon hatchery, the forest somewhere. We went to the zoo so many times, and it definitely doesn't get any more fun the more you go. :|

I remember going on a field trip and one of the girls got too close to a monkey's cage. It grabbed her hair and she of course tried to get away, but the monkey held fast. I don't remember how she got free.

And then, on a different trip, we were taken to a chicken factory. It's so strange when I look back on it now to have been taken where we did because we saw the chickens going through the motions from being alive to electrocuted then dead and bagged. The chaperones boarded the bus with bagfuls of chicken they got at what I'm assuming was a bargain.

So yeah, jmnixon95, I think yours will be so much better. Have fun!

^^ I wish you a very lovely time jmnixon95.

Oh dear, I am very sorry jmnixon95 as I believe that I may not remember many school trips that I have taken part in. Ummmmiiies. ^^ Yaye! I believe that I have taken part within a field trip that took part for approximately three days within my high school when I was approximately sixteen years of age. I believe that we visited a very big house and took part within many activities including Archery, climbing upon a very big climbing frame with ropes and many items, and also practicing speaking German.

^^ I believe that perhaps during the previous school year when I was approximately fifteen years of age, the school was very lovely and allowed my happy class year to visit a theme park named Alton Towers.

I can probably remember most of mine from primary school onwards. We used to call them "excursions" though.

I think the biggest and best one I went on was for a week to Lady Musgrave Island when I was in grade 11 (itinerary included: Green Mountain, Mon Repos, Lady Musgrave Island, Wet n Wild).

School camps in primary school were kinda crummy for me.
