Bored out of my skull last night I went into Netflix and was watching some Star Trek the Next Generation.

One episode in particular seemed to written to describe 'a day in the life of an aspie' .

Those of you who can see it, look up 'Data's Day' (season 4, episode 11) .

Link to Wiki.

But there is no real correlation in my view. From what I remember he often improved/learned and socialized on a level not depicting of myself.

I always did relate to Data, but Barclay was far closer to me than Data. See, the thing is Data doesn't experience overloads, shyness, sensory issues... etc.

Correct.

But Barclay was also living in a presumably prefect world - where he was valued for his intelligence over his quarks and people where understanding. Although the real world doesn't work such a way, but I'd have to say he's a fair closer approximation to someone I'd relate to personally.
