Why do some people think Paul Bernardo has Asperger's?

I was in class one day, and someone randomly suggested that he had Asperger's?
I was quick to say no, but he said YES. What?

"He pleaded guilty to murdering Kristen French and Lauren Mahaffy, in 1995 and ........."
I said and told him what I knew, but he does NOT have asperger's/

And yet this kid kept insisting that he DID

Anyone else, hear something ridiculous like this? Any one of my aspie friends understand any of this? I don't see any aspieness in him, just a devil personified

He may or may not fall in the spectrum, but that really isn't what matters. Eddie Izzard (stand up comedian) has a sketch about how he's an executive transvestite, not a werido transvestite. I think the same thing applies to us. People might be aspies, but I don't think that automatically dumps them into the "weirdo" category.

I honestly see NOTHING in Bernardo's personality indicative of Asperger's, Autism, or any other neurological disorder.

He is simply evil. And Canada should have legalized the death penalty just for him.

Amen to that. It just angered me (and believe me I don't get angered that easily) that someone in my class, who obviously doesn't have any knowledge of AS/ASD would even suggest that he may have it. DIFFERENT does not mean EVIL!

FYI, I have friends and relatives that knew Kristen French, and it's a damn shame she died for this sick worthless bastard.

My friend lives right by the Kingston Penitentiary, whenever we pass by that place I shudder to think that Paul Bernardo is sitting in that place.

And the public gets to pay taxes to feed that creep for the rest of his worthless life.

Same here. There have been programmes on TV about him and Karla. It has never been suggested that he has Autism or a mental illness.

And dear Karla has been released into society, dyed her hair dark, got a job, and has given birth to a baby boy.
Too bad her little sister or the other victims will have no future in this life.
