do you find the phpbb system pretty not sophisticated?

for example i've hard time to really go through old messages in case i missed some responses because it's not easy to read your history (searches)


i hate the guys from phpbb because they aren't realistic regarding their role.

this really makes me wanna cry

you know why?

because if they knew their role they wouldn't make such a lame system
their role is allowing people to really freely communicate.

the same goes for wordpress

the people creating it don't understand well enough that their product may need to allow people to really communicate.

the reality is that phpbb is not used well for general discussion. that should be it's major aim for them and for us all. allowing people to communicate and have their content their and not storing it for sites owners.

blogs? they are the same thing

for me it's just a complexity (all the products together ( phpbb, wp and others) they are preventing freedom online... in their own way

i want to see smart people behind them

technology is way too complicated and far from being simple and usable. i forgot the word i wanted to use..

i don't understand those developers. is there anything inside their heads? well i do guess they can contribute something. but they don't do that much
