I think this sort of aversion is quite normal.

It's a result of always having random stuff being rubbed in your face by others at lightspeed where it gets to a point your mind can't cope with any at all.

From what I've seen people pick stupid ideas over good ones. They like ideas outside the box if they make no sense but reject ideas inside & outside the box that make sense & seem like they have a good chance of working. They'll pick a stupid idea outside the box that makes no sense instead of picking the idea inside the box that makes sense & has a good chance of working.
