There are various different programs that could potentially provide an apartment or help cover the cost to rent one if your disabled &/or low income which you are. However the programs can majorly varry by area & can potentially be a pain to navigate & might have waiting lists. It might majorly help if you had someone in the area assisting you like a social worker type person or someone like a friend, psych, doc, or your sis. Unfortunately it seems like a catch 22 situation where lots of disabled people need some kind of assistance to help them navigate the system in order for them to qualify & be approved for government & community assistance programs. I really wish I could advise you but you'll probably need some kinda outside help from someone in person.
