I am running windows98.
I am updated with my direct-x and Java and stuff.
I downloaded and installed what YouTube puts out but it still does not work.
yet the YouTube program does not work on my computer.
most of the time all I get is a blank YouTube screen,
a couple times I got images but they would not play.
any Ideas?

I had the same yesterday - the information that either I used an old version of Adobe Flash Player or that I had Java function disabled was appearing on the screen every time I tried to watch stuff even if I installed a newer version and checked I had Java on but it didn't help at all. But today suddenly everything's ok and I still don't know the reason of my yesterday's problems :? .

Do you use Firefox or Internet Explorer?Sometimes Firefox and Youtube don't get along.

Windows 98SE is one of the best versions of windows, but sadly it is not great for most web applications such as youtube, it is 10 years old.
