I'm quiet; so quiet that quiet people remark about it. I truly have no interest in anyone else or their business. What about people on the other side of the coin; the folk that somehow strike up a conversation with anyone however they can? Are they genuinely interested in so many possible things, or do they just play some kind of social game?
I am also quiet and wonder about this too. Just recently, I was buying mice at the pet store and the woman in line in front of me, out of the blue, started telling me about her pet's medical problems. And another day, a man in the grocery store was asking me if the garlic bread I had put in my cart was any good. All I said was yes. Somehow this prompted him into a five minute spew about the home made Italian bread his mother used to make. I had no idea how to get out of it. This type of thing happens constantly. I never understand why strangers feel the need to tell me stuff. Sometimes I pretend to be deaf.
