christmas present from sister

ok todays christmas eve .we open 1 pressie on christmas eve.i opened one from my sister.she got me 2 jumpers. but i really dont like the fabric,makes me cringe! i asked my friend and he said it would be inappropriate to say this to her as its a gift?
should i tell her or should i just try to act as if i like it (which is what my friend told me to do)

My dad says that sometimes you have to choose between telling the truth and keeping peace. If you want things to stay peaceful between you and your sister, tell her you love it. Then, when she isn't around, give it away/sell it. If she questions you about it, tell her you lost it.

I dont now, when i get a gift i couldn`t care
less about what it is, its the thought that counts.
Are you happy that your sister thought of you
and got you something? She got you a gift,
how about showing some appriciation and
being a little less into the materialistic side
of it. She took the time to get you something,
and all you do is wine that you dont like it.
Real nice, had she known she probably
would not have gotten you anything, i
sure as hell wouldn`t.

Its just sad, someone gets someone a gift
and all i see is "bu hu, i dont like it", not one
f-ing word of thanks.

I didnt get anything for christmas but i got a
message a few days ago from someone who
had gotten me a present, gonna pick it up in
january. And i was just blown away, i have no
idea what it is at all but it makes me very happy
in another way. I dont care if it is a bucket full
of old dirt, i love it

Btw, this is why i always!! ! put a return-option note
into the present when buying clothes and such.
So that they can return it and get something they
like if they dont like what i got. Why people would
just buy a sweater and give it away with no
option to switch it i have no idea, makes no
sense, the most important thing is that people
get what they want, not that they get what i got
them.
