Sort of. Besides being both claustrophobic and agoraphobic, even though I prefer being by myself, when I go out, I like company. Not because I feel lonely, but I feel... a little safer, you know, like having a guide in a foreign country.

I am as capable as any normal person to go out alone. I do suffer from social phobia (thinking people are looking at me, etc), and having company makes me feel better, but otherwise I am capable of going out alone.
I was allowed to go out by myself until I had a meltdown in a shop and got banned Now I'm on 1:1 care but I don't mind because I feel safer with someone to help me.

I can't go into stores by myself. The first and last time my mom let me try that, the employees in the store kept following me around because they thought I was going to steal something. I was 14 at the time. On top of that, my mom is also worried about me getting lost or kidnapped.
I am however allowed to go to the park outside my backyard by myself, but only when my parents or brother are home.
I can go out by myself. I actually kind of prefer it. going out with people means I have to be social. going out by myself means I am left to my own devices, which I kind of like.
that said, I still prefer to stay in the house, regardless.

My parent's forced me to do things on my own like going to stores that are in walking distance and they really made sure I could cross the street on my own by the time I was eight.

I have no problems physically with going out. I'm quiet enough and inconspicuous enough that no one suspects me of anything and I rarely get myself into dangerous situations. However I feel very uncomfortable when I'm forced to go to a store on my own or complete a chore that entails leaving the house on my own. I feel far more comfortable if I have someone I feel comfortable with with me.

It just depends. Some things I can do by myself, no problem. Others, not so much. I have somewhere very important to be at this very moment and I can't go because the person who ought to be going with me won't answer their phone.

I not only go out alone but prefer it. I also travel all over the world alone as a woman which freaks all my friends out. I don't like to be with people too much when I travel. I just keep mouth shut out there and stay out of really crowded places best I can. Has worked for me for 40 plus years.
