Astronomy. It began when I was about 4 or 5, when I first saw the stars and it is still today. It's been going strong now for around 44 years :)

Japanese.

日本語

Especially the way kanji or hànzì are built up. In this example the first two (日本) are easy, but the third (語) consists of 言, 五 and 口.

It was drawing and art, for many years. Now it's hard to say. Probably anthropology and it's subfields, particularly linguistics. But now I just go from one obsession to another pretty quickly.

That has pretty much been my primary one also, outside of my current obsession with a computer game.

Exploring outdoors and taking pictures is another.

Anime and jrock in middle school/early high school. I didn't even get that into japanese culture/food/shintoism like the typical weeb, it was just anime and jrock, and I literally had no other interests for like 5 years.

I've always obsessively collected sanrio and sanx merchandise. Sanrio is the company that makes hello kitty. Everything I own is hello kitty, my melody, and little twin stars. It's way too much but I love it.( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈ )

Another one of my biggest special interests was The Kinks. I've been thinking I should get back into that one. Who am I kidding? I've changed and grown. At least I think I did.

Both my ex girlfriends which I'm so over & the iCarly star, Miranda Cosgrove. I have a mega huge crush on her that turned into an obsession.

Crafting... And the concept of secrecy. Both of these things ARE my way of my life. It's also how I usually approach my learning.

Without a doubt, The Simpsons. I've been obsessed with the show since I was about eight years old and have over 23,000 posts on a Simpsons forum.

My biggest special interest I think is definitely my current one, which is Muse. My avatar is a picture of the lead singer, Matt Bellamy. I've been to five of their shows, and was front row at four.

I've been a hardcore fan since 2012, and they came into my life at a very important time. I think it's suitable that I link the song in my username, which has helped me cope with things that have happened to me:
