Odd, considering the fact that if Kanner's subjects were alive today, and diagnosed by today's DSM, they would be re-diagnosed with AS.
I think some would be diagnosed AS, others PDD-NOS, others autism, and some varying between the three regardless of who diagnosed them. But I think all of them would be considered "high functioning" by today's standards, and even the girl who didn't speak had a normal IQ so she might also be considered "high functioning" by some of today's standards.
