Are there any people with autism actually doing research?

I think that another interesting question is how many of us are involved in other areas of research. I think that a lot of aspies and auties exist who have an interest in a range of research. Maybe we should have a poll to try to find out about the research interests of the community.

That's a great idea! What do you think the best way to set up a poll would be?

It doesn't seem like anyone is doing much of any research on Autism
There is a *ton* of research being done on autism. There is actually an entire academic journal devoted entirely to autism, not to mention individual articles on autism appearing in countless other journals. Why do you think no research is being done?
