I'm going to write a book on helping neurotypicals understand what its like to have aspergers and I would like to know what others think i should include or discuss in it. Thank you.

Every neurotypicals is a psychologist in him/herself, I am serious. They just understand us like that. There is no need to write that book :). Instead you should write book for aspies to learn language local skills and how to empathize i.e. mind reading.

This is totally false. There are so many misunderstandings. I have to say I wouldn't be surprised to find that Aspies are better at understanding NTs than NTs are at understanding Aspies.

Understanding someone requires reading mind and we are mindblind. As soon as NTs meet someone new, they intuitively start thinking what kind of person he/she is and accordingly put him/her in their "type of people" list.
There may be some misunderstanding in the beginning when the person(NT) does not know that the other has asperger's and therefore he/she(aspie) doesn't know the implied meaning of what is said.
However, NT especially female get to know that socially we are about 3 year old, very soon.
Let me recount such scenario. A NT asked me outside an institute canteen"Tea?"
And I replied"I will have coffee." She, jokingly, then told it to a fellow NT and she understood that it meant that I cannot read mind which a child starts doing from the age of 3. When she asked"Tea?" She did not just mean "tea" but a complete refreshment in the canteen which includes everything cofee, snacks........
Later on another NT(who must have heard this story over dinner where NT used to recount my misunderstanding and have great laughs) told me that people in the lab gave presentation while you were absent and moments later she revealed that she was joking. Later I understood that she was checking whether I have the ability to pick up lies which a child at the age of 3 starts to develop. She must have heard that story so she understood that I don't understand that when people say something they may be pretending/lying or there may be another(implied)
meaning to it. Now I have also undersood mind reading rules which I would be posting soon. A year earlier I completely undersood what I call local language skills which people refused to believe. This is another matter that a guy called Nostromous came up with similar understanding. My mind reading/social skills rules generalizes the post that one sees on "Autism rule book" thread. Sometime in last November/December I realized that I was able to understand mind reading, it just came naturally.

I think discussing that we think very different to NTs is important and in many ways we may actually see ourselves as being better eg I dont lie, I hate lying and see NTs as often deceitful etc as they lie. Thou I dont like being an Aspie due to some things eg i struggle to organise life stuff, I truely wouldnt like to be a NT either due to this aspect in which they think its okay to lie.
We also have a great ability to have a intense focus on something and become experts in something which interests us.

Having Aspergers isnt bad.. it just means we are different! Our struggle is trying to fit into a society in which most NTs expect us to be just like them and who dont understand that some think so differently. Our whole society is geared towards those with a NT mind set, our court system, our government depts etc etc. So its like being so out of place in this world, we end up suffering due to NTs expectations of us.. as this site is called, like we've ended up on the wrong planet.
